Enter your Uni-ID username in firstname.lastname@example.org format in "User ID" field and fill out the CAPTCHA field. Then click on the button labeled "Next".
The following step depends on the identity verification information you have provided earlier (verification code by e-mail, SMS text message, phone call or multi factor authentication application).
Choose the one you prefer.
Identity verification by e-mail
Choose "Email my alternative email" and click on the button labeled "Email". You will be displayed a portion of the e-mail address that the verification code is sent to.
Log in to your e-mail account and open the verification e-mail.
Enter the code displayed in received e-mail and click on the button labeled "Next".
Identity verification by text message (SMS)
Choose "Text my mobile phone", enter your phone number and click on the button labeled "Text". You will be displayed a portion of the phone number that the verification code is sent to.
Open the messages application in your phone and then open the verification message.
Enter the code seen in the text message and click on the button labeled "Next".
Identity verification by multi-factor authentication (MFA) app
Choose "Enter a code from my authenticator app".
Open the authenticator application in your phone and choose your Uni-ID account in order to reveal the one-time password code.
Enter the code seen in authenticator application and click on the button labeled "Next".
After successful identity verification, you will be presented with a password change prompt. Enter your new password on each field and then click on the button labeled "Finish".
Upon successful password recovery, you are presented with the following notice. Link "click here" will lead you to log-in prompt.
In addition you will be notified by e-mail that looks as follows to confirm that you have successfully reset your password.
